Let me show you how to grow an abundance of fruit with minimal time and effort
Many fruits do need pruning, spraying, netting, fertilizing, thinning, trellising, or other attention, but there are only so many hours and hands available to work in the day.
That's where these easy care fruits come in. Once a year attention, and then ignore till harvest.
Yes, it can be that easy.
So what are these easy, magical fruits?
Currants
Gooseberries
Figs
Pawpaws
Persimmons
All of these crops fetch a premium price, but require minimal labor and supplies.

This course is designed for small farm farmers who are looking to expand their operation. To add one (or five!) more things to sell at Farmers' Markets, to include in a CSA, to sell to local restaurants, to turn into value added products, and more.
Can (or should) you take this course if you are not a small farm farmer? Absolutely. The how to plant, care for, harvest, and store lessons will still apply to you! And these crops are so easy and prolific you may decide to buy some more plants and start a side business.

Are these crops REALLY minimal work?
Yes. The figs, gooseberries, and currants have the most potential work. Gooseberries and currants need dead canes pruned out each year. Figs may need to be pruned so you can reach the figs.
Can you really depend on gettinga crop EVERY year?
YES! These fruits are so incredibly dependable. We've had 1 year of no figs out of 50. That was the year we had record lows... and what prompted us to get varieties better suited to our growing zone (the trees did survive though and after that 1 year hiatus went back to churning out figs).
Do people ACTUALLY buy these fruits?
YES! We have not reached a point where supply is greater than demand. People clamor for these fruits and will call year-round checking on how the future harvests are looking. You may need to do some sampling to get the grapevine going, but once word gets out, you'll have buyers.
No spraying? Really? Won't the fruit get moldy?
Really. No spraying and no mold. Either before harvesting or after. No sprays, dances, or weird contortions needed to get that non-moldy state. Mold-free is normal for these fruits!
